Limping problem

I have a young dog about 6 month old has been limping from age 5 month and getting better now but not yet 100% fully heal. I was wondering what is happening to him. I have giving him rimadyl from the beginning and it work quite well. I read somewhere it might be rapid growth or food intake causing problem. any advice is welcome please.

ok got you.....

first get off the puppy pro plan....i do not like it to much grain and aditives....just go to the natural balance.....young dogs adjust to food changes pretty quickly.... three times a day is ok i feed twice a day charlie is 9 months wilson is 2 years and dolly is 9 yo i feel its healthier to feed more than once a day....we eat more than once a day....so should they....
chicken is fine as long as your deducting the amount of kibble when you add your chicken....dont feed 2 cups of kibble and the chicken.... remove a cup of kibble then the chicken...or make the evening meal chicken beef heart ect.... so only kibble in the am...and his special chichen and hambuger at night.....

Re: confused about the 30 and 70.....

Sorry, 30% of his food is puppy proplan and 70% is adult natural balance. I actually is switching it slowly to full adult food but go in slower. If i change fully to adult add on chicken would it be good also ? You mean just raw meat will be better choice i worried he may not have a balance diet that is why i mix it.

confused about the 30 and 70.....

those cant be your protein levels? stay 23% or lower remember the protein on your bag is a min....so 23 % can be 30 % depending on the grains the food company bought.....i would go more raw as i am a raw feeder and believe that is the healthy way to go....but grain free food is the best....chicken is fine....but go to a lower adult food....and get off the rimidyl a puppy should never need it....

My advice

Is to get xrays. I have been dealing with Panosteosis or growing pains for a few months with my puppy. But, you need xrays to rule out something more serious. My puppy doesn't seem to be in pain so I'm giving him any Rimadyl.
