you should have better watch on his activities. If he's rough-housing on the field with others who may not fully understand the tendency of a bulldog to overheat, you are running risks that you may not be fully aware of. I'm not saying that a normal healthy youngster cannot play...but you sometimes need to call a early time-out BEFORE there is any trouble.

We got to the Vet first thing yesterday. He had massive inflamation in his lower spine, brought on from to much playing with the Volleyball teams he sponsors. I had no idea he was being so active. Evidently he was running & rough housing with the teams on the courts. I missed it all. He also has a massive infection around his tail from his corkscrew tail that has just popped up. So we are dealing with that too. He got a shot and some new meds. He is walking with a limp but he is getting around. He really gave us a scare. Thanks for all the suggestions. and well wishes!
