GAS...is the bully..but how to cut down on it..???

I have noticed that since the bullies are outside much more and more active, the gas is much worse.
I also noticed it worst in the evenings...IN bed..lol
if there a way to cut down on the gas??

Yep, fat free yogurt works wonders:-)

I give a tablespoon twice a day...one in each meal. I don't give any other foods or treats to my Sophie and she never has gas:-)

I'll have you ladies know...

...that it DEFINITELY works in reverse.

My wife is waaaaaaaay worse than Roxy or me put together! LOL And yes, I know she would probably divorce me if she discovered this post. That's why you won't be telling her, right? lol

I have little experience but the food thing makes sense to me. We are very strict with Roxy about feeding her a quality food, yogurt, and no crap/people food, including treats. And so far (knocking on wood here) no problems.

As far as my wife goes, she eats extremely healthfully, and is in fact close to vegetarian. So I blame all that darned roughage! LOL

interesting about the food idea

I gave this some thought, but I have fed the same food for 3 years and not as bad of an issue as it has been lately.
but I do like the idea of a raw diet as well

the reason I thought of the excersise is that is what it is like in people, gotta move to get the gas moving so to speak. that is why we have to walk so much after surgery.

can try some yogurt here too

i agree with gas = food

i have fed all my bulldogs including my rescues a raw diet.....my vet the vet techs cant believe how good they smell...they have never smelled a good bulldog....even people i know who own a bulldog cant believe it.....but i dont have the grains to digest no gas....no eye stains....no yeasty ears or tail pockets....just good smelling bull....
i dont mean to say they dont fart once in a while....they are pulling in alot of air trying to breath...

This question always amazes

me. In the past 14 years of owning bulldogs I have yet to have a one that had bad gas. There was a time when my husband fed Norbert shrimp and we went boating the next day...not good sad.gif but on average I have never had that problem.

My husband if far more stinky then my bulldogs have ever been...infact he is always blaming them. Believe me I can tell the difference.

I totally believe it has to do with what they are being fed.

Yogurt

lowfat plain with live cultures. Just a dollup with a meal will help. =)
