excessive biting

i have (2) bulldogs Otis who is 18mo and Jolie who is 10wks... Jolie is very aggresive towards Otis. She is constantly biting and growling at him. Is this normal with puppies towards older dogs?

i agree with that too

what I had to do with Gus as a puppy.
I FOUND this to be the most effective
was a simple water bottle or a can of pennies
that startles the dog and they do not do the behaviour again
it works good.
when you see him bit, spray the water at him or just shake the pennies
easy to do..and it works
Pat

YOUR OLDER dog will soon NOT put up with either and have something to say about it.

Re: excessive biting

You need to correct this behavior if it is unwanted.
One of the reasons breeders like to hold to pups until at least 12 weeks is because they learn manners from mom at this age.Seems that many who complian about this behavior get thier pups a bit too early, IMO.

It could be that she is playing but she still needs to learn what is acceptable. When she bites push her flews into her teeth and make her bite down on herself, then say no bite. You can also immitate a bit by pinching her flew and command to not bite. Alpha roll her onto her back and do not let her up until she looks away.
When she does bite, replace a toy into her mouth so she knows what is accpetable to bite on.
Good luck..puppy teeth are sharp!
