Can you please post the check list you use for the upcoming birth of your babies? And if you could, post a picture of your puppy set-up with the heat light/heating pad? Want to make doulbe/triple sure I have EVERYTHING I need.
Thanks!!

here is my list
Puppy whelping area- weather it be an incubator, whelping box or kiddie pool it all works the same. I ue a rubbermaid tub or incubator the first week to keep pups in and they are with mom during nursing as much as possible. I dont have a 2 hour feeding schedule- dont really beleive in it during the first week and feed when they feel like and try and get them as much colostrum as they can. I also think when pups are with mom as much as possible they take on her body heat.
I use heating pads- or heat lamps are fine- as long as pups have an area to move off direct heat if they too warm.
I use tons of blankets- bigger ones for moms comfort, smaller recieving ones for pups.
I layer blankets and use crib matress protectors inbetween layers to make clean up easier. I use roled up socks or washcloths to make a bumpy surface to so that ribs cages dont go flat and creat swimmer pups.
I have lots of towels and washcloths on hand- I use a towel inbetween moms legs when nursing so pups dont get blood on them. I also use a nonstick gauze that i fold inbetween the belly so that the incision doesnt get drinched with milk during feeding times- if mom has alot of milk.
I use cotton balls and a warm dish of water to pee and poo pups with a small trashcan near my area.
I keep a suction bulb close at hand- like the ones they send home with a newborn.
I keep tube feeding kits on hand sized 6-8 french and milk replacers
I have thermometers..several for taking temps on animals and the thermometers you use in aquiariums to read internal temps of area
soft stuffed animals for them to cuddle with and lay on-later on appropriate chew toys
x-pen
Nutrical for head shakes and hypoglycemic pups or poor nursers
Tums for head shakes for hypocalcemia
benebac or acidolphilis for good bacteria in digestive tract when problesm arise
a scale to weigh pups
baby wipes for clean up
playtex nurses for supplimenting if need be-
baby ceral for feeding at 3-4 weeks
feeding dish for gruel
and i keep beef liver and chicken liver on hand for fading puppy and dam
jars of all meat baby foods-lamb, turkey, and beef.
I think thats it...LOL!

That's crazy
That's good you still have lots of time to prepare. My girl is due in a week and I just started today getting everything ready. I have been trolling garage sales looking for blankies. I scored today and got a ton of those water prrof pads for cribs and recieving blankets.
