advice please

I am at a loss with my girl. She should have went into heat in August. She did get a little swollen the second week and we went to a show-I remember thinking-"please wait until we get through the show"...

She still looks a little puffy, but I have not seen any of the signs that she has had in the past with her heat cycle. Last week, she had 4 days that she just wasn't herself. Very depressed, would hide under a chair, if we or the other dogs approached her she would sit down. I thought-maybe she is sick. After 4 days, she is back to normal. She's active and acting normally now.

Still no heat cycle.

My male hasn't treated her any different, although the other day they were all sleeping together and he got up (with Mr Happy) and made a huge mess all over the place. But he wasn't trying to mount her or anything.

Could she just have skipped a heat or could she have experienced a silent heat? I did notice some stringy discharge once after she peed about 2-3 weeks ago. She also tried to stand over my male, and her nipples would kindof point towards him-it was weird, but I have seen her do this before.

Also, during the show (when I thought she was due) we added another girl to our home, maybe this threw her off her cycle??

shows no real signs of being in heat except for swollen vulva. She never has any blood. Very odd but had no problem getting pregnant both times. All are different. You'll just have to keep a close record of her heat so next time you will know. 2 of my girls fooled me as I thought they were in heat a few months ago but weren't. Never know when mother nature is in charge. LOL
