Abby Is Itchy.......
Submitted by izzyandabbysmom on April 20, 2010 - 11:20pmOkay Abby has been in Heat for 2 and a half weeks it will be 3 wks on Wed. The past several days she seems to be itchy in her bottom area but nothing noticible when I take her outside she drags her bottom on the ground and does this inside as well tonight I had her outside and I noticed a few little red spots what do you think it could be?? Should I try some benedryl? I feel sorry for her!

Vicki you might be correct!
she does not have enough room in her pen do do this so that might be why she is doing this when I let her out. I will just leave her be. I have no intentions for breeding her she was suppose to get fixed but two days before she went into heat so now we must wait

I have and its clean and ...
I have cleaned around her vaginal area as she has DEEP folds around it and all looks okay??? except on her belly area about an inch from the beginning of her vaginal area there is like 8 red spots not raised not draining anything just red spots?? Just cant seem to figure it out but I know it bothers her
I have even tried putting some Diaper cream in her tail pocket and I have tried powder just as I would if her tail pocket was irritated but its no help and she is not red nothing I just dont get it 
maybe its just hormones.. the swelling has gone down considerably so I am hopeing we are nearing the end of her heat cycle so maybe the itching will stop.
